Klaus: The Krums and Ellingboes

One of my favorite animated films lately (actually, of all time) is Klaus, released on Netflix in 2019. It’s traditional, hand-drawn 2D animation, but with lighting and shadows added to give it more of a 3D feel. It’s a truly beautiful look. I did this piece featuring the heads of the two warring families in the little town of Smeerensburg.
